Trying to bring in f3 media to play around with.

Files are .mp4s (XDCAM EX), I can only get them to be read in VLC. I’d be great if I could convert these to ProRes using Resolve?

Can Resolve do this? What would be the best way to get these files to prores? (compressor or fcp can’t read them)

I can now see the file names in the media pool, but can not see any image when clicked on the file, just black.

Also the free Xdcam transfer utility will rewrap in mov, right now resolve 9 supports Xdcam in mxf, but not mp4. However rewrapping into mov or mxf will allow use.
