Doing some onset LUT generating with Davinci Resolve Lite. Just loaded some footage we shot with a Canon XF105 which saves files in .MXF. For some reason when I go to check the LUT i created to make sure it works, it’s making my grade turn all yellow instead of adding the look I want. Any thoughts?

    Hey Zack,

Are you using the trim LUT file?

This is in Libary/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve and it is a DPX file.

You must have your playhead on this file when you hit Generate Lut for the generation process to work correctly.

In v9 this will be simplified to a right click on the VSR’s on the timline.

    Hope this helps!

Yes I am using it. I have no problem generating LUTS for my ALEXA footage. But the Canon XF105 .MXF footage still gives me an issue.

Confusing because Davinci will bring in the files and let me grade them. Is there a possible setting I might have activated/turned off?
