    hi guys,

have anyone had problems with the keyboard underneath the joyball panel??
we are having issues, the keyboard had been changed in three to four month after installation and now again we have the problem of the keyboard not working .i think it has to do something with the design???(maybe)
ours is the first control-surface in india could it be a faulty one???

Very hard to say, of course, but ours has worked fine for a year. My main complaint is the lack of illumination for the keyboard, but apart from that, it’s fine.

How is the keyboard connected to the panel?

I have two, one works good, another one’s main board on the right side has been replaced once, and compare to good one, joy ball is much rough.

Same as it ever was – this goes back to the first classics (1990’s.) Likely the ribbon cable – best fix is to keep it open OR closed – not open and closed.

yep I’ve had mine replaced. Also the glue around the surround plastic (the part around the actual keys) comes unglued from time to time.

Doesn’t sound very good, for a 30k panel. Have you had any other issues?

yes ofcourse and not good for a 30k panel.
i think it is better to use a external keyboard costing around $10 instead of paying $200 every now and then.
