  • Displaying Reel info inside clip icons on Color page?

Posted by Aaron Hayden on March 13, 2012 at 9:15 pm

Does anyone know if its possible to display the Reel info (or even the clip name) while working in the Color page on the timeline?

Almost all the content I work with are multi cam sequences and knowing what clip belongs to what camera while working in the Color page would help me out alot.

    Thanks in advance!

Right click on the clip. Select view clip details. new window opens, will update as you move through timeline.

Well that is a usable workaround for now. Still wish there was an option to have the reel # displayed inside the clip icon in the timeline.

    Thanks for the tip!

I’ve got another tip for you. Use multiple tracks to denote cameras. I.E. Camera 1 on track 1, etc., etc.

I use my conform in FCP or Avid to arrange the multi track layout.

Not a bad idea… but I have too many random cameras in my shows, I’d have over 30 tracks. Too much prep work for the convenience. I like your previous tip better 🙂
