Workflow Premiere to Resolve with 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K XML
Hi.
I have RED files in 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K resolutions. I decided to make a Premiere (cs5.5) project with 2K. So i can make little changes with the bigger sized footage like tilt up, zoom in, rotate a little .. you know.
When i export a XML out of Premiere and import it to Davinci Resolve – This changes are NOT in the Davinci project…
Are there any chance to have my exact Premiere project in Davini with all the changes i made in Premiere?

When you import the XML in the Conform page, do you check the Use Sizing Information option?

But Resolve always crashes when i check this box … ?Any tips?

I am also having the crashing issue so I leavev unchecked and plan to render in each clips native resolution to reconform back in AE at the end.

i don´t understand … i am in davinci lite – so i can only output 1080p … and then i can´t put the fullres files in AE …
are you talking about Davinci FULL Version? -
can someone please help me out!
davinci keeps crashing everytime i want to import a xml from premiere with the box checked “use sizing information” .after a few seconds davinci tries to put the files in the media pool and – crash!

Try loading the media into your pool first. Then import XML.

i just found out that: i can click on a file in my color timeline and say “use sizing information” – davinci crashes immediately! 🙁

i tested this “use sizing information” on both systems: osx 10.7 and win7 – davinci lite keeps crashing. damn
am i the first person concerning this problem? -
I have the exact same problem. Would love to see this fixed!

i could not fix it till now! went back to Premiere to AE for grading.
