  image cropping?

  Hey guys,
  I’m pretty sure of the answer but does anyone know if you can crop an image in Resolve?
  For instance often times you need to crop the edge of the frame to remove head switching, or to create a picture in picture effect or sometimes one image sits on top of another with a crop to expose the underlying image.
  Doable? I think not yet.

  Hi, there is a workaround. In the conform page put one image in the track immediately above the other then on the color page select the top clip.
  For the top clip, use zoom to crop the image, position, then make a linear window and position it where the top image is. Add an Alpha output to this clip in the node graph. (right click) and connect the key out of the last node… the one that has the window. As soon as you do this it will be composited over the image below. you can change opacity of the top image in the key tab, post mix gain on the node with the alpha out.
