which hard drive are you using for internal RAID 0
Hi Guys
wondering which hard drive would be best for a 5 x 2 TB = 10 TB internal softraid 0 inside a 2010 mac pro
(I removed top optical bay and installed SSD for applications, leaving the 4 bays plus bottom bay free for 5 sata2 drives)
Hitachi desktar, Ultrastar, western Digital caviar black, RE4, seagate?? , etc
what are you guys using, looking for reliability, is it worth going Enterprise class drives?
I do not leave the computer on all the time, I switch it off when not using so maybe I don’t need 24/7
but I’m interested to hear what people think and recommend

Hi Paul,
we are only using Enterprise Drives.
The Hitachi Ultrastar™ 7K3000 is working great.
But I think today it’s more a question which drives are available.Jens

I also have 5 x Caviar Blacks in raid 0, love them
what do you think of the Caviar greens, I’m considering of using 5 x 3 TB on another system, I know they are slower but I’ll be happy with 400 mb/s read and 15 TB storage
