Smarter Missing Footage Script that will find the missing items on my system?
I have multiple projects that I need to “clean up” when work gets slow… Reduce, Collect, etc. and in doing so I sometimes break multiple links of another project that used the first as source. Has anyone built a smarter script (maybe on AEScripts?) that will detect my Missing Footage, but also take it one step further and say,
“You’re missing X, Y and Z, but I found them in 12 other places on your system: here, here, here, etc.. Re-link to them by checking the box on the one you want.”
and if it’s REALLLLLY smart:
“I notice that they all exist in subfolder W. I recommend those ones.”Know what I mean? Re-linking missing footage is pretty easy by searching in the Mac Finder window that comes up, but it’s a pretty slow process to do over and over for 15 or 20 items.
This is a good item for a feature request from Adobe, but seems like something someone could program into a script panel as well.
