Has anyone encountered the problem of playback reference audio? Which the audio became more and more jittering, clicking sound appears once a second, when playback with video.
It’s 12 core macpro, with fast raid6 (r/w speed above 600MB/s). Video is rendered dpx sequence with NO grading.
Anyone has a solution on this, please don’t hesitate to tell.

Same problem here, whatever daVinci version. From FCP, with same sound file, same video card, no problem.
The biggest clicks can be heard with classical music (Bach…)

So, it is a bug. Not some mysterious hardware/software configuration problem…
Hope people at BM will notice this, and solve it in the future release

    Hi Nick,

Is this 48KHz audio? What is your video frame rate set to?

I sometimes get this if I
    – have Safari or any other browser running
    – iTunes playing

I think what’s happening is my receiver (I’m using a Logitech Z906 speaker system) is getting mixed signals. (yup, I said that!). Switching the system off, quitting the apps, and switching the speaker system on again usually solves the problem.

Are you guys playing the audio off the same drive as picture? I put in a 2nd internal and use that for an audio only drive.

I still get playback issues if for whatever reason I’m overtaxing or there are a bunch of nodes, but overall much better performance.

I tried that the first moment I noticed the problem, theres some tiny improvements, but still clicks like hell.
Two media drives are both separate from system drive, and both 10 disks raid drive.
