    Hi,

Is there a way to save a timeline? So different timelines of the same session/grade can be exported?

Ideally I’d like to import an XML/AAF, grade the show, duplicate the sequence whenever we make editorial, composite mode or PTZR changes. Is that currently possible? What am I missing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Toby.

Unfortunately duplicating a timeline is not possible in DaVinci Resolve. Many of us have asked for this feature but right now you can’t duplicate a session.

You can do a ‘Save As’ to save your entire project as a backup, but there doesn’t seem to be a quick way to duplicate a session. I would love to be able to do it so I can create a few different looks for a show and be able to show the different versions quickly to a client.

You can right click in the timeline of you want to duplicate and select “create new session with handles” and this will duplicate the current timeline with the option of adding handles. Just set the handles to zero and you name it what you want.
