  • Automating segment exports (render queue)

I have three graphics layers to export to omf separately from the same 8min composition. These will later be imported into avid, however a 2GB file limit applies to avid imports this means I need to render in approximately 30sec segments if rendering at 1:1. Is there a way of automating the exports as the section durations are the same for each video layer? Is there a way to save export chunks/settings for later use?

    Thanks

I think this is what you want. Don’t delete the used renders in the render cue window. Rather duplicate them. The new renders will keep the same parameters as before.

    Thanks Robkahn

I’ve done that before was just wondering if you could save those parameters so that it would be possible to move them to anouther project as exporting omf’s is somthing I will be doing reguly no I have AE 6.5

You can save render settings and output module templates, and make them the defaults if you wish.

Check the AE help under rendering a movie>creating and using output module templates. There’s something similar for render settings.
