  XML Import problems – “String Not Found”

  Hi all.

  I’ve been having some problems with reconfirming from an XML in Resolve. Whenever I go to Load and select my FCP XML I get an error window reading “String Not Found (Line: xxxxxx)”, the number of the line changes with every new XML from FCP even if I haven’t changed the sequence.

  In FCP the sequence we’re trying to get in to Resolve is a copy of a sequence that was used to start the Resolve project and it imported with no problems at all. We made a copy, added some new material to replace some previz CGI with final shots, changed the sequence name, the director asked for some shots that had been slowed down to be put back to 100% or -100% speed for the ones that run backwards and that’s all that’s been done.

  I can’t imagine FCP is suddenly putting out faulty XMLs and I’ve gone through the process of updating the old sequence twice but both versions get the same error (barring the line number).

  Anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

  Thanks Rohit, I’m at another facility today but I can get my hands on the XML later today and will send.
