As far as I know Resolve had a very good integration with FCP7. But apart from that, what are the ways of using Resolve with other NLEs?
What are the ways in into Resolve?
Convert all your footage to Prores? DNxN?DPX?
    Export EDL?
Does it have to be a NLE running on Mac or can it be Windows? Will Windows make it harder?
Just trying to figure the best way to use Resolve with other NLEs besides FCP7.
This will dictate how I choose my next NLE program since I want to use Resolve on the Mac to grade?
    Thanks.

There are two parts to the round trip process. One is the image file format and the other the EDL/XML/AAF/ALE metadata exchange. Prior to 8.0 there was EDL and limited AAF.

Resolve 8.0 on Mac can render in many file formats with reel numbers etc in the header or file name as appropriate for the NLE of choice, with clips in different folders as required when there are duplicate source clip timecodes with different grades. Resolve 8.0 can also accept an AAF from Avid Media Composer (and relink graded images back in MC) or XML from FCP7 and send XML back for relink.

In terms of image format, Resolve supports TIFF, DPX, Prores, DNxHD? Any support for Cineform?

Prior to 8.0 there was EDL and limited AAF.

    Does 8.0 still support EDL?

Resolve 8.0 can also accept an AAF from Avid Media Composer (and relink graded images back in MC) or XML from FCP7 and send XML back for relink.

Can it also accept AAF from other NLEs besides Avid and have the same functionality?
Same question for XML and FCP7?
    Thanks.
