  Resolve Disappears with EX3 Footage

  Folks

  Having received basically zero support through email I am posting here. We are working on several different projects. Currently things happen to be all RED feature films or EX3 based TV documentaries. I find the RED projects are all stable for the most part. Can’t remember the last time we had a crash. The XDCAM stuff on the other hand… Totally random disappearance of Resolve, no crashing no warning just poof!. There is some 5D material mixed into the EX3 project though I have not been able to find a connection. The only user function that seems to be a constant in the crashes is scanning or jumping to different points on the timeline. The EX3 files are all QT movies converted from the camera originals. Let me know if you have thoughts. Thanks.

  I’m not experiencing crashes with it, but interlaced material makes my whole system bog down.. If that’s not the problem, the codec may be.

  The XDCAM codec has a similar effect on my system.
