Subtle Convergence Adjustment
I finally got up and running yesterday with my DaVinci on Mac. I do a lot of 3D finishing so the first thing I tried was to test out the stereoscopic capabilities. I was able to successfully import, view, adjust & grade 3D footage. The most difficult issue I had was adjusting the convergence slider in the Format section. It is very difficult to make subtle adjustments (at least with a Wacom tablet). Since it is not mapped to my Tangent Wave panel, I found it almost unusable. Any advice on how to make subtle adjustments with this slider would be greatly appreciated.

In the Wacom driver (system preferences) you should be able to map a button on the Wacom tablet to make the pen less sensitive. It’s called “precision mode”. Press and holde – move your pen – enjoy!

Thanks Ola, I tried precision mode but even in that mode, the smallest increments I get on the convergence slider is 1.4 which is still not small enough. I am hoping that BM maps the convergence slider to a dial on the Wave somehow or provides another way to adjust it in smaller increments.

The real panels are a must for 3d work. I’m working on a project now. It has huge convergence issues. I cant imagine trying to do get it done without them.
