I would like to make an intro just like this video but with different text and a different colour scheme, but i have no idea where to start. Can this be done in Adobe After Effects? If so how do i do it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It can be done in AE and as usual it can be done in more than one way.
Good source images (photo’s) of the lanyard and the card, cut and manipulated as 2d cards in 3d space using distortion and 3d animation and motion blur could be enough.
The fancier way may be using a 3d model in C4d or Element 3D.

As I’m a complete newbie with AE, that doesn’t make sense to me at all. Do you think you could explain in detail please?

If you’re a complete newbie, this is not the project to start with!
You’ll want to start here: https://adobe.ly/AE_basics
