    Good evening,

I have already searched the web and this forum, but did not find any solution to the following problem:

Whenever I have a vector-layer (e.g. a simple text created in AE or a vector imported from Ai) and switch it to 3D, it becomes slightly (but noticeably) blurry on the edges. Whatever settings I use, this effect won’t go away.

For demonstration you will find a test-picture I created with a simple setup: just two white text-layers on a black background. No animation/ motion blur/ masks etc. Both text-layers are inside the same composition. The lower text is with 3D turned on, the one above without 3D.

I used these settings: continuous rasterization (by default as both are text-layers)/ preview: final quality/ full resolution.

I also added a snapshot from my UI, maybe I’ve missed a detail…

BTW: I use CS6 on an iMac running OSX 10.10.4.

Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance,
    Lil

You may have your camera’s Depth of Field switched on.

Hi Roland, thanks for the reply!

As I don’t have any camera in my composition, there naturally shouldn’t be a Depth of Field, or am I mistaken? Though there is the “active camera” creating the preview. Does this automatically install a “silent” camera with settings such as the DoF? If yes, where would I find the settings?
