Hello everyone. I’ve been building a camera projection in after effects. Everything’s been going well except for now that I am at the end, and my projection is blurry. I went to increase the quality of the shadow map resolution, but for some reason, no matter which resolution I select, it keeps defaulting back to ‘comp size’ resolution. Can anyone speak to this?

It should not be a hardware issue. I’m running a 2013 Mac Pro with 32GB of RAM, AE CC 2015. Really would like to solve this problem. I’m so close to a fantastic shot! Thank you in advance.

That’s a bug; I’ve just filed a report on it.

As a workaround, set the comp’s shadow map size in Ae CC 2014. (There is no difference in project file format and you can freely move a project back and forth among any of the 13.x releases.)

A better workaround that keeps you in 13.5: Control+click (PC) or Command+click (Mac) the “Classic 3D” renderer indicator in the upper right corner of the comp to open the classic 3D renderer settings window which will properly allow you to change the shadow map size setting.

Thanks to Steve T. for that one!

Sure enough, that did the trick! I didn’t realized you could access comp settings this way. Thanks a million.
