AE Interface Disappears When Accessing OS X Finder Windows
I find that when using AE CC 2014 under Yosemite I find that after a certain period (or after some unknown event happens) that when I click on the OS X Desktop or an open Finder window to make it active, the entire After Effects interface disappears. So, if I want to drag and drop a file from a Finder window into the AE Projects pane, I can’t do it – because when I click on the Finder window to locate the file, there’s nowhere to drag it to. If I restart AE, everything works normally – if I click on a Finder window the After Effects interface remains visible (behind any Finder windows that are now in front).
Anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it when it happens?

Perhaps your Finder is in a separate “space” than Ae?

No, I don’t use Spaces. I disable all that functionality in the System Preferences.

Hey dude,
I THINK I just fixed this issue on mine,
I went to the After Effects drop down and told it to “hide after effects”,
then went back to it and clicked on “show all”.I think it glitches into some weird auto hide function and “show all” brings it back to the real world.

That AE hiding when hitting Finder was DESTROYING me for DAYS! Couldn’t figure it out until
