I had a look at the 1Beyond Wrangler up close the other day. Impressively small yet powerful. Great card by Matrox which allows ISO recording of each source while live streaming.

I’m trying to “decode” the minimum requirements page for the VS-4: https://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/windows/vs4/system/
and trying to figure out what it will take to build a stable enough system to record the 4 iso’s and run Wirecast without any hiccups?

I think the information is self evident. I’m not sure what you’re trying to decode.

Keep in mind, minimums are just that. They are not ideal nor will they mean the needs of many.
A system doing one standard def stream does not need the same resources of someone sending three different streams including HD, doing compositing on every shot, recording the HD output to hard drive, in addition to the ISO recordings.

If you’re unsure and want the support of a single vender consider 1Beyond’s Wrangler or Wrangler Pro with the VS4 and Wirecast.

I’m a strong believer in overbuying as underbuying ends up being more expensive.

[Craig Seeman] “does not need the same resources of someone sending three different streams”

Is Wirecast Pro able to send three (or four) independent HD streams out to streaming servers, platforms or CDNs, simultaneously?

If not, is there any single device capable of independently (no mixing, no switching) streaming 3-4 HD sources, e.g. from VS-4?

    Thanks!

You can open multiple documents although some systems can have issues with that.
You can send a document to multiple servers using multiple encodes.
Consider a very powerful machine though. I’d recommend dual proc Xeon system.
