How is this block transition done?
Hi, in this video: each character that pans onto the screen is a solid white, then block dissolves into the original image. I tried doing this in AE with the block dissolve tool using 2 layers, the original, and a white silhouette.
The video however, features blocks that transition back and forth between shades of white, grey, and original color. How is this done? I’m assuming they used multiple block dissolves? Thanks

I think you are over thinking it, that just like line a basic opacity case in and out with a slight linear pan in.
