I am very exited to make use of Element 3D.
I’m a little stumped right now with how lighting works.
I’ve created a hallway with textures and imported the obj.
Everything loads great. I re-attached the texture files and click ok.
I’ve got a camera and light in my scene.
For some reason I cannot get light to affect the object.
For example the point light. Or any directional light.

But…when I load one of the models from the Motion Design elememts library, like a random arrow, light works perfectly fine. I am able to get the exact lighting effects I am looking for with it. I just cannot get it to work on my own custom models. I’ve been checking the settings trying to make sure my model is setup like the arrow. Everything seems to be the same. I even tried getting rid of my own materials and applying some from the ProShaders library. My model is pretty low poly. Nothing fancy. Just extruded squares for hallways.

Nothing seems to be working. And I am hoping to use it to finish a project due on Sunday.

    Anyone here have the answers?

Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Shane, I know nothing about Element 3D, but I have been checking out the Video CoPilot website; and it appears that on that website, there is a forum which might help you more than this one has. I wish the COW Element 3D forum had more activity, as I like the overall COW site, but it doesn’t appear to be the place to go for help with Element 3D.
