  • Lost Null Object layer when motion tracking

    Hi folks

I’m new to the website, & I’m COMPLETELY new to Adobe After Effects (started using it this week).

    I’m following a tutorial from videocopilot.net on motion tracking…

After I’ve set-up the track point and analysed forward, I then try to Edit Target to the Null object layer. But the layer isn’t highlighted as an option. Anybody come across this? is it a bug that needs fixing, or do I need to do something I’ve missed?
If you watch the film – https://www.videocopilot.net/basic/tutorials/05.Motiontracking/ & scroll to 12 mins 33 secs, you’ll see where I am & the point I’m stuck at (13 mins 37 secs).
His highlights as an option, mine doesn’t. The only difference in the entire scenario is he’s using CS3 on a PC, & I’m using CS4 on a MacBook Pro.

    Cheers! Many thanks in advance
    Bob Smith.
