I was wondering how you go about creating an Animation Preset to be used in after effects such as the arrows and flourishes found in the video-copilot Evolution dvd. The video-copilot website also calls them “high quality decorative design elements” in case I messed up and called what they are by the wrong name.
What program do you make these in? I see they are also saved as quicktime movies.

here’s the link if you don’t know what I am talking about

    Thanks,

The evolution presets are pretty complicated….
I wish that I could make something like that!

However, if you want to save some certain effects as preset, you select them, (in the effect panel) and go to animation>save animation preset. After you name the preset, then you will be able to apply it. If you type in it’s name in the effects/presets box, it will come up. After that, you can apply it to a layer. ( drag and drop) Now, the effects that you saved in that animation presets are applied to that layer, along with any values you changed in them before you saved the preset.

I hope I’m making some amount of sense…
Let me know if this works
