  What kinda rig does Andrew have?

  Because his stuff always seems to render really fast relative to mine.
  I mean, mine isn’t the best rig, but its not that bad..I’ve got an athlon x2 3800+, 3 gbs ram, 8600GTS, and I always notice that it takes my comp considerably longer to render frames than his.
  So I was hoping the Q6700 that I got the other day would help (just waiting for the mobo to arrive now..), but I figured I’d ask what he’s running AE on. Because if he can render faster AND record video at the same time…wow.

  there are tricks to speeding up preview renders, like rendering every other frame…

  he says in the ‘Bullet’ DVD that he has 8 cores, but he has to turn off multi-core processing in AE because the screen capture slows him down so much.
