  Script for merging text objects?

  Can anyone recommend a script for merging point text objects? I opened a pdf file in Illustrator and all the text came in separate lines. I have an old script that I used with older versions of Illustrator but it no longer works. I downloaded a couple called merge-into-one-line and merge-into-one-text but neither did anything.
