    Hi all,

First of all, I’ve googled the hell out of this and I keep getting basic answers like “Hey! Did you know when you resize a raster image, it will become pixellated!!!!” Yeah, I know. I’m inserting a 1200×700 JPG image into Illustrator via the “Place” tool, it comes in super crystal clear. When I resize it SMALLER, it becomes pixellated.

Any ideas on this? Thank you.

If this occurs at exporting the file, make sure your document raster settings are set to “high resolution”, under file>Document setup. That affects export resolution.

Also, if your document is set to, say, 480 x 360 pixels that’s what you’re going to get on export.
