  • Issue with exporting file with opacity mask on a layer

Posted by Kacper Andrzejczak on March 16, 2017 at 10:34 pm

When I export any file with opacity mask applied to a whole layer, Illustrator omits this mask – the resultant image looks like there are no opacity masks on layers, despite the fact that any other opacity masks (on objects and sublayers) are applied correctly.

To make things more weird, this happens only when exporting to png.
Jpg images are exported as expected (both layers, sublayers and objects opacity masks are applied and the image looks like it should).

Can someone explain me why Illustrator behaves in such way?
