  What can I do to stop .ai error?

  Hello!

  I get the error message when try to open a saved .ai file
  “The file is damaged and could not be repaired.”

  I have tried doing ADOBE’S workaround of “placing” the original file into a new file to no avail.
  Does anyone know why this might be happening?

  Maybe try repairing permissions, restart, and try to open the files. This might work. Also u can repair illustrator file owing Illustrator Fix Toolbox I found it here
