  • Getting Paths to Top Layer For Export to After Effects

Just can’t figure this out. I have all these paths and I want to get them to the top layer. I’ve tried to expand to them to make them objects and then pull them up to the top layer, but expanding won’t work for some reason. Help?

    Thanks!

Not sure what you’re ultimate goal is, but you could…

    1) Select everything and Object / Group.
That will move all of the objects into one layer.
Or, you could just drag the paths inside the Layers palette to the appropriate layer.

    or maybe…

    2) Select all of the like-filled objects and Object / Compound Path / Make.
This way, all of the dark greens will be one object, and the light greens will be a second object.
You would still need to group the dark green and light green, if you want them to be together.

    Just some initial thoughts.
