    I have created this character.

Right now I am creating shapes, drawing my “shadows” over the top of the character and using the path order in the layer palete in order to hide things. I am having trouble getting some shadows to fit snugly to the outline of my character.

    To any wise forum member:
Is there a way to create these types of shading quickly?

    Many thanks in advance

    Peace.

My initial thought would be to put all of your structure, the black ink, in a new layer on top. Then do all of your coloring in the lower layer – maybe even create multiple ‘color’ layers, like; base, shadows, highlights, etc.
    Just some initial thoughts.

This thread is pretty old, but if you’re still keeping an eye on it, you should check out the “draw inside” function.
