    Dear people,

I have a fairly complex object I extruded. Now I wish to create an outlinealong the edges of the object, like in the example cube below.

Is it possible to automate this in Illustrator, or should I use a 3D program? (And if so, what function should I use. I’m not at all familiar with 3D programs.)
    Any help appreciated.

    Greetings,
    Maarten

    Use Object >> expand appearance,
then you can individually select shapes and stroke them, and bring them to front if needed, and delete a side by selecting it withe the hollow (direct) selection tool.
