I’ve been having trouble with my brushes lately, there are some I can “pick up” with the eyedropper, and then there are some that just pick up the color of the original line, or the stoke weight.
I’m thinking it’s something to do with the options for the brushes, but not quite sure where to even start looking for them.
Does anyone know what I should do?
    Thanks for the help

Double click on the eyedropper icon, you should have all the options selected, regardless, don’t get high hopes, there’s a known Illustrator bug that makes the eyedropper behave weirdly. Sometimes it also shows as it picked a color but when you paint an object with it, it will go black, this is particularly true when painting text objects.

Do not expect a patch from Adobe, it’s been like this for ages.
