  Matching Backgrounds

  Hi Everyone

  I am extremely new to Adobe Illustrator – a complete newbe and am hoping I can see some help.

  I am creating a business card in Illustrator and would like the card to be black so I have created a black background to build on. I now have a logo that I had created for a website and would like to use it for the logo on my business card. Both the card and the logo have a black background but unfortunately they are slightly different shades of black and when I center the logo on the card you can see the differnt shades. How do I fix this?

  The Logo is in jpg format and I am using Illustrator CS4 to create the card.

  this is my first time using illustrator so if you have ideas, please keep them simple.

  You would have to recolor the JPG logo, or change the black on the card.
  Can the components of the logo be pulled into Illustrator so that you would have a vector logo, to work with?

  You need to match the cmyl values of both files, one in Photoshop and the other in illustrator
