  Question regarding Jason Brown : Vector Logo to 3D Logo AI part.

  Hi everyone

  I was watching this great tutorial mentioned in my post title. Jason Brown take a logo and bring it to AI in order to seprate the layers for cinema 4D. I have a logo into jpg format which i’d like to use for the purpose. I’d like to know if there is a way to separate a logo layers from a jpg file? When i follow jason method i can’t move the layers.
  Here the logo i’d like to use:

  

  Basycaly when i open this logo in AI and do the shift click i got a scare around the logo, i’m wondering if i can still separate it into layers.

  JPEG doesn’t support layers. You would have to Live Trace and Object/Expand, or redraw the art.
