  Gradients disappear when saving to PDF

  This is doing my head in. I have a illustrator file which I am saving into PDF and it is not saving the gradients when I read the PDF in preview.

  Anybody know how to fix this.

  I am using CS 4 Mac.

  Are there any transparancies in your file? They can cause issues.
  If so, can you recreate these gradients as solids.
  Are you using spot colors, like Pantones.
  Maybe, try changing your overprint settings in the Print dialogue, under Advanced.
  Or, you may need to flatten the gradients prior to export.

  Just some thoughts.
