  new CS4 pixel aspect presets

  Hi,

  I understand why Adobe has changed the preset pixel aspect ratios for SD video in CS4. (https://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WS3878526689cb91655866c1103906c6dea-7f3aa.html)
  However, could someone help me understand how Photoshop has a D1 Widescreen Square preset of 872×486, while Illustrator has a D1 Widescreen preset of 873×486? What’s a perfectionist to do?

  Uh, yeah, I’m a technical geek…Probably nobody else cares?

  I don’t have the answer to your question, but I laughed at ‘What’s a perfectionist to do?’.
  Anyway, here is an article that thoroughly discusses this type of issue, and gives some explanation as to why there are conflicting ideas regarding frame sizes.
