  How much time do you think this would take?

  I need some help with a time estimate for a project. I was given a full size hand drawn floor plan done by an architect which can be seen here. My client has asked me to clean it up to look like this finished plan.

  I thought the best thing to do would be to bring the drawing into Illustrator and redraw everything on top of it. It doesn’t have to be a full size CAD drawing and it might be easier to do that than try to read the sizes of the rooms and draw it to scale.

  I’m very comfortable working in Illustrator and relatively fast. However, I’ve never worked on an Illustrator project this big/detailed and I don’t even know where to start with a time estimate. Can anyone help by letting me know how long you think it would take to complete it?

  It really depends on how good you are in Illustrator. I would guess I could do something like that in 4 or 5 hours.
