  Illustrator Strokes

  I am using Illustrator CS2 and need to export stroked text for Cinema 4D. Both the text and the stroke need to be converted to outlines for import into Cinema 4D. How do I separate the stroke from the text and flatten the strokes’ paths to one layer and the texts’ paths to another?

  object >> expand

  then

  object >> path >> outline stroke
