I’m using Photoshop to cut out people in an image and placing the transparent cut out into Illustrator. I’ve done this a couple of times with success, but one cut is leaving a light tracing line around the edges of the cutout. It doesn’t show up in Photoshop, but when placed in Illustrator, there’s a light outline around the cut. I’m not so good in Photoshop and quite knowledgeable in Illustrator. I can’t figure out why this one image is leaving the outline.

    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Eric

You should use a layer mask in Photoshop to knockout the background and then save this image as a .psd file. Use file>>Place>>(link should be checked) and choose the .psd image you just saved.

This should also answer you next post about how to work with both programs.
