Okay, please help. This is driving me crazy and I have to finish this ASAP.

So right now I have an Illustrator file in CMYK. I’m about to send it for making DVD covers, and they want everything in CMYK. My linked files – photos and such – were in RGB.

So I go into photoshop and change them to CMYK. In Photoshop they look exactly the same – I was viewing in CMYK workspace, so they didn’t change in appearance.

But when the linked files are updated in Illustrator, now they look darker and more contrast. So why the hell are these changes not reflected in photoshop when I made the changes?

I’ve had to make changes in photoshop to the CMYK files even though I can’t even see immediately what changes I’m making. I have to update the files in illustrator to see the results.

HELP! What is a good workaround?
    Thanks
    Bill
