I’m trying to import illustrator CS2 outlined text files into after effects, but the text gets cropped based on the document size instead of my bounding box. I’ve tried the following solutions without success:

    – Saved in legacy format, but it still gets cropped

    – Turned off “use compression” in CS2, but it gets cropped

    – increased the document size (700×5300 pt – due to the project) but I get an invalid error that doesn’t go away even after I click OK

    – saved as eps format, which works fine except if I need to have multiple layers

Any advice is appreciated…thanks in advance

It may be helpful to rasterize the text if you don’t need it to be vectorized. Or, can you paste the paths into AE?

Due to the kind of job, I do need the text to remain vectorized. Also, because my AE projects rely on the positioning of my AI files, I need to be able to just import the files rather than copy and paste the paths. Thanks much for your help.
