  Illustrator Layers into Photoshop

  Is there a way to save an Illustrator file that has layers in it — and open it in photoshop and have the layers still intact not merged into one layer?

  File / Export – Photoshop. PSD
  In Illustrator CS you have a choice of Photoshop CS and 5.5

  There are options to preserve text editability

  Make sure to export to the same color space (RGB/CMYK) as your illustrator file, otherwise you will be saving only flattened image.
