I’m fairly new to illustrator (cs1) and I’ve started using techniques in illustrator to produce imagery to be put/edited into photoshop (cs1 – as I’m limited to what I can remove in illustrator). On screen the imagery looks really tight but when I came to print, the edges were noticibly pixelated. I know that the new photoshop cs2 has a paste option called ‘smart’ which produces nondestructive scaling, but as I can’t afford this I was wondering if theres a way of doing this in cs1, or an aquivalent?

If you have a simple logo with just a few colros or less, this is easy, if your illustrator artwork has many shapes or colors you will want CS2.

Copy each similar colored Illustrator CS1 vector shape, and paste it as a shape layer in Photoshop CS1. You will need to assign the color in Photohsop manually for each shape.
