    Hello,

Do you know a way for smoothing motion only in horizontal or vertical direction?

I had this problem in many of my footages previously. Never found a perfect solution until now. I’m trying to smooth a dolly shot. The footage itself is very smooth. Only problem it is a bit fast and slow in several places.

Warp stabilizer in after effects doesn’t give good results always. I need only some smoothing in y direction (y coordinates). But it generates some undesired smoothing in x direction as well.

Stabilize motion has a feature to apply it only in x and y direction. But I couldn’t find any option to smooth the motion in single direction.

    Anybody has experience in that?

    Thanks for your replies.

Prodad’s Mercalli has options to remove tilt on separate axes, I’m not sure how it would behave if you check those options with its smoothing capabilities. It’s a paid plugin though, but you should check it out if you haven’t already (since you have this kind of problems frequently and the plugin is quick and robust).
