  how to switch off toggle between canvas and image size

  Hi,
  whenever I change the canvas size I notice my image size changes to exactly the same size and vice versa. I have tried looking in preferences to see if I can switch this toggling off – does anybody know how to do this? Any help much appreciated.

  Got it! The image size is the image plus the canvas whereas the canvas size is just the canvas.
