    Hello All,

I’m trying to make a hi-rez PDF out of a DVD face i’ve designed in photoshop.

The guy i work with made a brochure last week which he saved as a photoshop EPS, before taking it into adobe distiller to turn it into a PDF. When the PDF was made it could be zoomed into 800% and the text was still totally crisp: it re-rendered or whatever every time we zooomed.

i just tried the same thing but PS didn’t give me an option on the way out whilst saving the EPS of ‘include vector data’: it’s blanked out. I’m assuming this is the process that makes the text good quality once it gets to the PDF stage. My friend was given the option to check this yet i was not. thus, once my design gets to PDf the text looks crap when zoomed in on.

Is there some setting in photoshop that will get the text to be looked at as a vector when i export it to EPS? Or is there an option in distiller i am missing?

    thanks in advance…

sorted it, i had ‘faux bold’ on the text which was turning it into pixels…
