  Best way to create a 3d text cube?

  Hi,

  I’m trying to design a logo based on this sketch:

  

  But I’d like to apply a glassy translucent green effect to the cube, similar to this:

  

  What is the best way to achieve this? Can any body link me to any tutorials that might be able to help me out?

  Hmmm, I would say try it in Blender, but if you don’t know any 3D, it could be a pain. Blender is free, easy and pretty powerful, but there is still a learning curve since you’d need to learn the modeller, renderer, materials, shaders, etc. For free modellers, you can also try Sketchup.

  In illustrator, you can do it, but there is no real 3D to it – only the simulated 3D lettering.

  So, you can do it in Photoshop, but I think a 3D model in PS would be better.
