Photoshop automatically opens a file when I open the program.
I edited a few photos in Photoshop the other day and saved them as I normally do. I quit the program and now whenever I open it, it automatically opens one of the files. It’s weird and I don’t know how to disable it from doing that.
I’m using CS6 on an IMAC and the file was just a standard JPEG from a Nikon D700.
Anyones have any suggestions on what I could do?

What happens when you move the to a different location? It should error out. Dunno if that will fix it though. 🙂

Are you on lion? Since I upgraded to lion, every one of my programs opens the last few files that I’ve been working on, even if I saved and shut a file down before quitting the program. It’s actually pretty annoying! Perhaps its a lion issue?

I had the same problem (iMac, CS6) but it was an autorecovery file instead of the real file.
Solution for me:
If you right click on the file name on top of the document, choose Reveal in Finder. Then probably the autorecovery folder opens and you can remove the file from there. That’s what worked for me. -
