  Brush Painting Shades

  I didn’t really know what to title this question, sorry if it’s misleading. Here’s the deal though –

  Whenever I use the brush tool in Photoshop, the colours aren’t showing the same. Like, if I chose the colour red, it would paint pinkish and be slightly see through, until I drew over the first stroke again and again until I got the colour I chose to start with.

  Same with every colour, it comes out semi-transparent until i’ve stroked over it a few times.

  How can I get it so the colour I choose is the colour I paint with straight away?

  Here’s some details – Colour Mode > RGB Colour 8 Bit
  Colour Profile > sRGB IEC61966-2.1

  Set the Opacity and Flow of your brush to 100%, 100%. If you want to reduce the feathered edge of your brush, increase the hardness by right-clicking (with the brush tool already selected) and using the slider control to change from 0% to 100%.
